Recruitment, or "Rush", is a process of mutual selection between a college man and a Fraternity. This is the time before you pledge the Fraternity when you are deciding what house is best for you. There is no pressure. It is a chance for both parties to learn more about each other to ensure the correct choice is made. A bid is simply the formal invitation to pledge the Fraternity during the semester. The bid will be administered when the Rush chairmen (or captains) feel you fit the mold of a Pike and will be a positive addition to the house. We are always looking for the best men to recruit to join our ranks. We are not looking for average men, we are interested in well rounded individuals that are competitors in all aspects of life. He should be a scholar, a leader, an athlete, and most of all a gentleman.
